About me

So who is this crazy, smiley, banana loving girl?

My name is Chelsea, I am 18 years old and live in Good ol' Blighty (aka England.) I am passionate about healthy living and try to achieve this in everything I do, and this blog is a documentation of my journey.

My interest in health began 4 years ago when I was 14 years old and became more aware of my body as well as the media. I became more knowledgeable on the importance of taking care of myself but unfortunately due to the mass of ideas surrounding 'health' I was disillusioned and became lost in a pool of information. I began with simply reducing the amount of processed food I consumed i.e. crisps, takeaways and started eating more fresh fruit and vegetables as well as swapping to wholegrains. However, due to a past of bullying which instilled a strong self criticism and depleted my self esteem, I soon lost control and spiralled into a path of self destruction and hatred.

After many years of struggling to accept myself and the world around me, I have finally begun to accept my own imperfections and I am living my life again! It has taken me a long time but I have and I am still learning from the hurdles of my journey and every stumble only allows to me to stand up stronger!

I cannot say I follow a particular lifestyle, because I no longer strive to restrict myself to a set of rules that govern my life, I want to experience the world for every unique and exquisite thing it has to offer. But to summarise I would say that I am an 80/10/10 high carb low fat vegan, eating mainly raw fruits and vegetables with occasional cooked meals in the evening. I am still experimenting with this lifestyle at the minute, contemplating whether to be fully raw, but still enjoying myself going out for 'naughty' meals with friends like a supersize curry or pizza! I am excited for what my future has waiting for me and I no longer live weighed down by the past.

Carve your own future and make your own memories, we only live one life so why not live it to the best it can be?
